Anything Goes Nowadays, Really?

Anything Goes Nowadays, Really?

Anything Goes these days..... Really ? , I'm not sure you can take that statement literally but rather understand and explore the essence behind it .

So as much as we can say anything goes , what does that mean? We can wear what we want , when we want and to where we want. "But how does that look and Who  cares " ? , says you . Or maybe , deep down and being honest , you are saying I Care , I want to look stylish , I want to look good, I don't care about the Fashion Police arresting me but I do want to be contemporary and modern . I want to feel relevant, be seen but still be myself but not the stuck version of myself back in my youth and definitely not looking like everyone else. I am comfortable in my own skin and I want to express that in what I wear . I don't want to be the scrambling climbing rose nor the central ornamental tree  in the front lawn , I want to be the garden in all its glory throughout its never ending growth and stages of development, in every season of its life

There is lots to explore and even more to think about . What we wear is important , for ourselves, for our roles & relationships and for the world we live and share with others. I hope you will follow me to discover & learn how to find your own style . This is the evolution of you in your personal fashion world.

# To Co-Ordinate or Not .

So let's start with throwing out the Dress Code that every thing needs to Match  & Co-Ordinate. Instead let's  explore the notion of Clashing Prints .

This can work fantastically well , giving your wardrobe a new jest of life and excitement but I know that notion can equally scare the living day lights out of many of you .

Let's explore how this can work, I'm going to show you some examples and tell you why they work, but equally you will see it for yourself, take a look & trust the feeling these outfits give you .

  1. Different Prints / Same Colour
  2. Same Print but different Shape & Texture
  3. Different Print, Different Colours but one common feature/ one common purpose.

My next installment will look at this topic
